Construction Laborer / Drywall Finisher
Ace Flood & Fire – West Olympia, WA
Pay: $22–$27/hour, depending on experience
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 7:30 AM–5:00 PM; occasional overtime and weekends
Experience Required: 3 – 5+ years in construction/remodeling
Ace Flood & Fire is a locally owned water mitigation, fire demo and reconstruction company looking for an experienced, dependable Construction Laborer / Drywall Finisher to join our growing team.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works well independently and as part of a team, and has strong finish-work skills.
Drywall, mudding, texture, painting, and finish work experience and having your own tools is a MUST for this position.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a long-term career with room to grow into a Lead position.
What You'll Be Doing:
Our projects include water damage restoration, mold remediation, fire reconstruction, and general reconstruction/remodeling.
Responsibilities may include:
• Drywall installation and repair
• Mudding, taping, and texturing
• Interior painting and finish work
• Basic carpentry and reconstruction
• Job-site setup and breakdown (cleaning)
• Preparing and picking up materials needed for upcoming jobs
• Maintaining clean, organized, and professional job sites
• Safely lifting and moving materials and equipment weighing 50+ lbs
• Troubleshooting and creatively solving problems in the field
• Completing DAILY updates in our CRM
• Communicating professionally with homeowners, subcontractors, project managers, and other team members
The ideal candidate:
• Has at least 3–5 years of remodeling/construction experience
• Is highly skilled in drywall, mud, texture, painting, and finish work
• Has excellent attention to detail
• Can work independently without constant supervision
• Is dependable and shows up on time, ready to work
• Has a positive attitude and works well with a team
• Understands basic construction practices and safety protocols
• Is comfortable using professional hand and power tools
• Can plan ahead and anticipate materials needed for upcoming projects
• Can safely lift 50+ lbs
• Is comfortable working both indoors and outdoors year-round
• Can communicate professionally with customers in their homes
Requirements
• 3–5+ years of relevant construction/remodeling experience
• Must have your own tools
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to provide professional references
• Valid driver's license - HAVE TO HAVE CLEAN DRIVING RECORD TO DRIVE OUR TRUCKS!!!
• Ability to work occasional overtime and weekends when needed
