Support Apple ecosystems (macOS/iOS) and A/V equipment We are a New York-based non-profit organization seeking an IT & Audio/Visual Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will serve as the primary technical specialist for our office and remote operations, ensuring the reliability of our digital infrastructure and the seamless execution of our live virtual broadcasts. Primary Responsibilities: Live Event Production & Zoom Management: Operate and manage our primary weekly live Zoom broadcasts, which currently take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:00 PM ET, and Sundays at 10:45 AM ET. Provide technical support for occasional smaller, ad-hoc virtual events as needed. Responsibilities include handling audio/video routing and moderating the live chat room to ensure a professional and secure experience for all attendees. Apple Ecosystem Support: Serve as the primary technical support for our macOS and iOS environments, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues across all Apple devices. A/V Troubleshooting & Management: Set up, test, and maintain audio and visual equipment. The technician will also support our digital video pipelines and media asset transfers. Familiarity with post-production tools such as DaVinci Resolve is highly preferred. General IT & Networking: Diagnose and resolve general computer, software, and local area network challenges, including Wi-Fi connectivity, DNS configurations, and router deployments. Qualifications & Requirements: Apple Ecosystem Proficiency: Comprehensive, administrative-level knowledge of both macOS and iOS platforms. Zoom Administration: Advanced capability in managing large-scale meetings, configuring complex audio settings, managing participant permissions, and organizing chat moderation. Technical Troubleshooting: A strong foundational understanding of general IT, computer hardware, and network diagnostics. Audio/Visual Competency: Applied understanding of audio routing, microphone configurations, camera inputs, and basic video handling. Professional Demeanor: The ability to remain composed and effectively troubleshoot unexpected technical issues, such as connectivity drops or audio interference, during live broadcast events.
