Chance to develop new skills and work in field service/tech support Apprentice position for a quality candidate at a local technical support shop. Part time initally (general) help around the office/shop located near downtown La Mesa with goal of developing a full-time hire in support of our growing technical/fabrication/install business. Flexible schedule is a must. Initial work at shop will range from equipment inventory, maintaining equipment/office area, to helping with fabrication and installations. Looking to develop a full-time, long-term and integral team member for field service/tech support and installations at customer sites. While not mandatory, any construction, troubleshooting, welding, electrical, computer, office, software, design, or sales experience, are also desirable skills. Most critical for an immediate hire is candidate is physically capable (can lift 50 lbs), have common-sense, familiar with basic power/hand tools and willingness to work hard/ be challenged to develop new skills. A healthy respect of heights is ok but you cannot be completely scared as some of our work involves lifts, ladders, etc. A valid, clean driver’s and legal record are needed as work is often performed on/at military bases/public schools, etc, and involves prevailing wages ($$$). A background check will be performed prior to hire. Pay is in the $20-$25 range to start, dependent on skillsets, with potential to negotiate a higher wage for more qualified and or motivated candidate(s). Most immediate/critical need is for help around the shop and to fully understand your skillsets and/or potential as a team member.. Employer maybe able to provide assistance with locating reasonable living arrangements for quality candidates, depending on availability.
