Gibbs Mura LLP, one of the "Titans of the Plaintiffs Bar," represents everyday people in high-stakes class action and mass action cases against banks, utilities, and tech companies. We are looking for a Junior Software Developer to join our team on a 1-year contract. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys moving quickly, learning on the job, and building tools that make a real difference to how the business runs day to day. You'll work on fast-paced coding projects alongside team members, join meetings to help scope out upcoming work, and build practical solutions — from integrating with relational databases via API to creating user-friendly internal apps that automate manual workflows. What You'll Do - Contribute to fast-paced development projects from planning through delivery - Participate in team meetings to help scope requirements and break down work into manageable tasks - Interact with relational databases through APIs to retrieve, update, and manage data - Design and build simple internal applications and scripts to automate repetitive workflows - Collaborate with teammates on code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting - Adapt quickly as priorities shift across projects What We're Looking For - 2+ years experience with software development - Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Engineering - Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL) and consuming or working with APIs - Comfort with Python - Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies quickly - Good communication skills — you'll be expected to contribute in scoping discussions, not just heads-down coding - Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Nice to Have - Experience automating workflows or building internal tools - Exposure to version control (e.g., Git) - Some familiarity with HTML/CSS and JavaScript for front-end UI development - Familiarity with sprint-based team environments We are an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse, inclusive workplace, and welcome applicants of all backgrounds and experience levels.
