JT4 is hiring Weapons System Integration Engineers to support operations at Edwards Air Force Base in California.
JT4 seeks motivated and experienced Weapons System Integration Engineers to support the analysis and evaluation of host aircraft and store compatibility requirements for the captive carriage, release, and launch of armament systems.
Apply industry and military standards, including MIL-STD-1760, MIL-STD-1553, and Universal Armament Interface (UAI) protocols, to support weapons system integration and interoperability.
Aircraft integration activities, aircraft integration meetings, and aircraft Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) test activities to ensure an operator's perspective of aircraft integration and employment are successfully accomplished for weapon and carriage systems.
Apply knowledge of electrical interface logic and logical and logistical compatibility between U.S. fighter, bomber, and UAV aircraft, suspension and release equipment, and stores, including embedded computer hardware and software systems.
Airworthiness certification activities, to include participation in testing, flight clearance, safe separation and jettison testing, development of test plans technical reports and data analysis packages evaluating system and subsystem interfaces. These interfaces include but are not limited to aircraft interfaces, ground subsystem interfaces, and interfaces associated with participant interoperability within the network (characteristics of which include radio frequency (RF), link margin, RF bandwidth and baseband modulation).
Responsible for providing real-time support for flight test from a mission control room.
Apply working knowledge of bit data, binary and hexadecimal data, embedded systems, bus data hierarchy, and Python programming to support technical analysis and system integration activities.
REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Level II: BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution + 2–3 years of related experience.
Level III: BS + 4–7 years of experience, or MS + 2+ years, or PhD in Engineering.
Level IV: BS + 8+ years of experience, or MS + 6+ years, or PhD in Engineering.
Knowledge of electrical interface logic, logical, and logistical compatibility between US fighter/bomber/UAV aircraft, suspension and release equipment, and stores (including their embedded computer hardware and software systems).
Aircraft weapons flight test experience.
Test planning.
Safety planning.
Working knowledge of reading bit data, binary and hexadecimal data, embedded systems, bus data hierarchy, and Python programming.
Mastery of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering that enables the employee to serve as a technical authority on projects relating to the specific programs.
Knowledge and skill to apply the latest developments in engineering to solve problems in the specialty area along with excellent communication and analytical skills.
Working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools and possess planning/organizing skills.
Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.
Ability to work independently and within team setting.
Must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance up to top secret with special access.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Mission Control Room experience for elevated risk weapons testing.
Ground test experience.
Strong communication.
Ability to become a subject matter expert.
SALARY
The expected salary range for this position is:
Level II: $110,000-$130,000
Level III: $130,000-$160,000
Level IV: $160,000-$185,000

JT4, LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market/business considerations when extending an offer.
