The IT Engineer will receive escalated IT Support calls via Tickets. Essential Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable IT infrastructure solutions utilizing Microsoft, VMware, Azure, and other cloud platforms. • Manage virtualization environments including VMware and Hyper-V to optimize resource utilization and system reliability. • Develop automation scripts using PowerShell Scripting • Administer operating systems such as Windows, MacOS and Linux to ensure system stability and security. • Implement and manage VPNs, APIs, and network security protocols to safeguard enterprise data. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to deliver projects on time and within scope. • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. • Monitor system performance; troubleshoot issues related to databases (MariaDB, SQL Server) and application integrations. • Lead efforts in disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and system upgrades to ensure business continuity. • Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert ). • Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure with a focus on virtualization (VMware), cloud services (Azure), and operating systems (Windows/Linux/MacOS). • Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell Scripting for automation tasks. • Experience working with APIs for system integration and automation purposes. • Solid understanding of network security protocols including VPNs and firewalls; advanced certifications preferred (e.g. Cisco Certified Network Accociate CCNA) • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues quickly. • Effective communication skills for collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders.
