This position is loced in Bethesda, MD and is a remote/hybrid position. Responsibilities: The role’s responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support the Operions Section Manager with personnel administrion, stregic planning, and staff planning. The Dacenter Operions Senior Engineer will work alongside the Service Delivery Team, Architecture Team, and Security Team to support their objectives Mentor network operions engineers in the practical applicion of current/emergent technologies, agile IT, ITIL and continuous improvement practices and techniques Participe in shift lead duties to serve as “queue managers” to ensure each escaled issue is efficiently assigned, actively being worked by expediting resolution and fulfillment to meet SLAs Engage with the Sections to perform baselines of Da Center and Colocion systems using discovery tools such as ScienceLogic Work with system owners to ensure understanding of services supported, upde support documention, and determine if hosted systems can be sunset to reclaim space, power, and cooling Proactively monitor growth trends of hosted systems such as Biowulf supercomputer and work with Network Architecture and system owners to proactively recommend resource adjustments as part of our overall Capacity Planning approach to ensure availability of required resources Qualificions: High School with CCIE (Da Center) certificion and 5 years of equivalent Da Center operional experience OR CCNP (Da Center) certificion and 10 years of equivalent Da Center operional experience. Experience mentoring network operions engineers in the practical applicion of current/emergent technologies, agile IT, ITIL and continuous improvement practices and techniques Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
