Work with copper, fiber, and coaxial cabling Data/Voice/Fiber Cabling, Technicians Needed This is not a position for IT or project management. Summit Riser Systems, Inc. is seeking all technical levels of data/voice cabling technicians for our SF Bay Area service area. We are looking for self-managed, reliable, and motivated workers. Compensation for technicians: $25-$45 per Hour Based on Work History and Technical Experience. Onsite job training available with the condition that employee has adequate tools. Employment type: Full-Time Looking for candidates for both Lead a Helper positions. • Lead technicians must have experience of leading projects, order materials, and managing labor force of 2-6 technicians. • Reliable vehicle required. A truck or van is preferred. This position requires driving from site to site. • Must have hand tools. Power tools are provided based on assigned project. • Must carry a 6’ ladder and basic material. • Must be trained to install, Coax, Fiber, & Category Ethernet Cabling. • Basic knowledge of building and setting equipment racks, ladder tray, and grounding. • Must have basic knowledge of EIA-TIA standards as well as City Codes for low voltage cabling. • Must be able to read blueprints and floor plans. • Must have presentable customer service skills and communication. • Must be willing to work overtime if needed. • Must be willing to work and drive within the site area of San Jose, San Mateo, Walnut Creek, Emeryville, and San Francisco. • Must have a computer access with internet, printer scanner, and able to open Excel, word documents, and PDF. • Must be presentable, reliable, and accountable. • Ability to terminate fiber optical cabling using a fusion splicer and or polish terminations is a PLUS. • Knowledge of circuit extensions, trouble shooting, & riser tie cabling is a PLUS. • Experience in working with installation of vertical cabling for both copper and fiber optic services in a commercial environment. • Helper Technicians must have a reliable vehicle. A truck or van is preferred. • Must have hand tools.
