Responsible for ITS systems design and traffic control devices Title: Traffic Engineer Location: Hybrid/New York Type: 6+ Month Contract Rate: $Open Responsibilities The Traffic Engineering services include transportation planning, design, operations, safety, modeling, data analytics and technologies in support of the operations of all Agency facilities, as well as the effective delivery of the State of Good Repair and Major Agency Programs. The Traffic Engineer is responsible for producing high quality, innovative, and cost-effective transportation facility designs, that meet the Agency's Program requirements and provide transportation assets that enable world class customer experiences. The Traffic Engineer is responsible for all Traffic Engineering services, that include roadway geometric design; traffic planning studies; ITS systems design and operation; Maintenance of Traffic/Construction support; facility traffic operations support, responsible for 24/7 PA-Agency Operations Center, the Agency's Traffic Safety Program; and design and legal authorization of traffic control devices, including signs, roadway markings, traffic signals and 115 devices.
