The ideal candidate will enjoy the rigors of retail and is friendly, engaging, and passionate about providing an exceptional resale shopping experience. Responsibilities include sales, customer service, inventory prep, visual merchandising, loss prevention, and team collaboration. This position requires an understanding of how every daily task contributes to the big picture success of a micro business and a general curiosity and interest in secondhand consumerism. This position is for 10-12 hours per week with the opportunity for more as training progresses. FULL weekday (Tuesday-Friday 11am-5pm) and weekend (Saturday 11am-5pm, Sunday 12pm-5pm) availability is a must! QUALIFICATIONS: 1-2 years in retail/customer service, bonus if it's been at a consignment shop! Strong verbal communication: explaining policies, procedures, and contracts Able to maintain a regular schedule Able to problem-solve challenges outside the daily scope of work Understands how to maintain a fresh and visually enticing sales environment that is clean and well-organized Outward display of a high level of energy without need for motivation Tech competency: POS and social media General knowledge of downtown Corvallis business community in order to make referrals PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 30 lbs including merchandise and displays Must be able to operate a tagging tool, electric steamer, and vacuum Must be able to stand for long periods and move throughout the store to accomplish assigned tasks TO APPLY: Please email your resume and a short cover letter through this posting on why you would be the perfect fit for the position.
