Our portfolio spans grains, pulses, animal feed and nutrition products, dairy, sugar, and nuts, with a buyer and supplier network reaching Latin America, Asia, and Europe. We are looking for a Junior Commodity Trader to join our New York desk and learn the business from the ground up — with a clear path to running your own book. This is physical trade, not paper or futures. You will work real cargo, real counterparties, and real margins, supporting senior traders while building the skills to execute deals independently. What you'll do: - Support senior traders in sourcing product, quoting buyers, and executing physical deals - Track market prices, freight rates, and supply/demand conditions across your assigned products and regions - Build and maintain pricing models and deal P&L; help calculate landed costs and margins - Coordinate with logistics and finance to move shipments from contract through delivery and payment - Maintain accurate records in our ERP system and keep deal documentation organized - Develop relationships with suppliers and buyers, gradually taking ownership of accounts and trades What we're looking for: - Sharp analytical mind and genuine interest in commodities, agriculture, and international trade - Comfort with numbers — you can think in margins, basis, and landed cost, or you're eager to learn fast - Strong organization and attention to detail; trade lives and dies on accurate documentation - Self-directed and accountable — we run on clear targets, not micromanagement - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; coursework or background in business, economics, finance, or agriculture is a plus - Spanish, Portuguese, or another second language is a meaningful advantage given our markets - Familiarity with incoterms, letters of credit, or trade documentation is a plus but can be taught to the right person What we offer: - Hands-on training directly from senior traders with real deal exposure from day one - A clear path from support role to running your own trading book - Performance-based bonus that grows with your contribution - A lean, fast-moving company where your work visibly moves the business - New York-based role To apply, reply with your resume and a few sentences on why commodity trading interests you.
