This role plays a critical part in maintaining branch security, transaction integrity, and customer trust. The Teller supports daily branch operations and may act as the on-site manager when scheduled independently or when the Branch Manager is off. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Transactions Greet and assist customers with currency exchange and related services. Deliver professional, courteous, and high-quality customer service at all times. Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently in compliance with company policies and procedures. Verify customer identification and ensure all required documentation is completed correctly. Cash Handling & Accuracy Balance tills at the beginning and end of each shift. Maintain a balanced till and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately. Research discrepancies (short/over) and provide timely, detailed explanations and resolutions. Handle currency and financial instruments with a high degree of accuracy and security. Compliance, Security & Risk Awareness Follow all security procedures to protect against fraud, theft, and loss. Identify and report suspicious activity in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information at all times. Branch Operations & Support Assist with branch opening and closing procedures as assigned. Answer phone calls and general inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. Refer customers to appropriate personnel for complex or escalated issues. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, services, and policies.
