Opportunity to grow with a small, expanding company About Public HVAC Systems: Public HVAC Systems, LLC is a warehouse-direct HVAC equipment supplier in Orland Park, Illinois. We sell equipment from brands including Trane, American Standard, York and RunTru, plus a discounted scratch-and-dent line, to contractors, property managers and facility managers, mainly through our online store. We sell equipment; we typically do not install or repair it. HVAC equipment is model-specific: part number, tonnage, efficiency rating, refrigerant and voltage all matter. One wrong detail online can mean a wrong order or a delayed job for our customer, which is why accurate inventory and listings matter so much to us. Job Overview: We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented E-Commerce & POS Associate. You'll keep our online store inventory and Lightspeed POS accurate and in sync with our warehouse, and help with order entry and tracking. No HVAC experience needed; we'll train you on the products. Location: Orland Park, IL (on-site) Type: Part-time, 15–30 hours per week, with potential to grow into full-time Key Responsibilities • Online store inventory (primary focus): keep product quantities on our online store accurate and in sync with our warehouse system, update stock as units sell, are returned or are damaged, and flag and help fix sync errors • POS system management: manage our Lightspeed POS day to day: enter new stock, keep product records, pricing and quantities current, and make sure the POS matches the warehouse and online store • Listing updates: update product details, pricing and photos in our product spreadsheet and online store, and double-check them against manufacturer spec sheets • Order entry and tracking: enter orders in the POS, track them through pickup or shipment, and update customers on order status when needed • Stock checks: help with periodic counts and keep the warehouse organized by part number, including scratch-and-dent units • Team support: pass along product info and photos to our marketing company and pull simple stock or sales reports when needed Qualifications: Required • 1+ year of experience in e-commerce, POS or inventory systems, order processing, or data entry • Comfortable using a POS or online store platform (Lightspeed, Shopify, Square or similar) • Basic Excel skills: sorting, filtering and entering data accurately • Strong attention to detail and clear, professional communication by phone and email • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment Nice to have • Lightspeed experience • Experience updating online store listings or doing bulk product uploads • Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, electrical or other building products What We Offer • Flexible part-time schedule (15–30 hours per week) with a path to full-time • $16–20/hr • On-the-job training on our products and systems • A chance to grow with a small, expanding company How to Apply: Send your resume and a short note about your e-commerce, POS or order processing experience.
