Be a key player in a supportive and collaborative salon team Salon Receptionist / Assistant Manager Zokkoz Salon | Briarcliff Manor, NY Zokkoz Salon, an Aveda Concept Salon, is looking for a motivated, organized and dependable Salon Receptionist / Assistant Manager to join our team. This is primarily a business management and salon operations position that also includes front desk responsibilities and hands-on stylist assisting. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, works well with others and understands that being part of a salon team means stepping in and helping wherever needed. This is a key holder position. Reliability and the ability to open and close the salon are a must. Responsibilities * Help manage day-to-day salon operations and keep the business running smoothly * Open and close the salon as a key holder * Manage the front desk, phones, scheduling, check-in/check-out and payments * Assist with administrative tasks, reports, inventory, ordering and payroll * Support salon marketing, promotions and retail sales * Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with our guests * Assist stylists during services, including shampooing clients, helping at the sink and supporting client needs * Help stylists stay on schedule and step in when additional assistance is needed * Maintain a clean, organized and professional salon * Cleaning, laundry, towels, stations and general salon upkeep are part of the position * Be a team player and be willing to help coworkers wherever needed Who We're Looking For Someone who is organized, responsible, outgoing and comfortable taking the lead, while also being a true team player. You should be willing to go from handling a business or client issue at the front desk to helping a stylist, shampooing a client or cleaning a station when the salon gets busy. Salon or management experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. A cosmetology, esthetics or nail license is a plus, but not required. This is a permanent position with opportunity for growth into a larger management role. No seasonal applicants. Day/evening/weekend availability required.
