We are looking for someone who understands electrical construction and can do more than just estimate a project. The right person will be able to estimate accurately, develop customer relationships, generate new business, follow up on opportunities, and close profitable electrical projects. WHAT YOU'LL DO Estimate commercial electrical projects from plans, specifications, and scopes of work Perform labor and material takeoffs Develop accurate and competitive project bids Prepare professional proposals and quotes Communicate with general contractors, owners, vendors, and customers Follow up on bids and sales opportunities Develop new customer relationships and generate new business Identify upcoming projects and potential customers Negotiate scope and pricing Close projects and help move them from estimate to contract Maintain strong relationships with existing customers Coordinate project handoff with the field team Help ensure projects are properly estimated and remain profitable WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Experience in electrical estimating, sales, or commercial electrical construction Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction methods Ability to read and understand electrical plans and specifications Knowledge of electrical labor and material costs Strong communication and customer-service skills Confident working with contractors, owners, and customers Strong organizational and follow-up skills Self-motivated and able to work independently Computer and estimating-software experience is a plus An established network of customers and contractors is a major plus A proven ability to sell and close work is highly valued COMPENSATION $50,000–$65,000 BASE SALARY PLUS UNCAPPED COMMISSION Commission is based on the gross profit generated from projects sold, creating a significant opportunity for additional income. The more profitable business you generate, the more you earn. EXPECTED EARNING POTENTIAL $100,000 – $150,000+ PER YEAR There is no ceiling on earnings for a salesperson who consistently brings in profitable electrical work.
