Identify and resolve project issues proactively A Los Angeles-based design-build construction company specializing in high-end hospitality is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team on a contract basis, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position. Our projects include restaurants, bars, cafés and design-driven commercial spaces throughout Los Angeles. We are looking for an organized, proactive and highly capable Project Manager who can take ownership of projects and work closely with clients, design teams, field teams, subcontractors, vendors and consultants from preconstruction through completion. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manage projects from preconstruction through completion * Coordinate with architects, designers, engineers, subcontractors, plumbers, electricians and other trades * Review construction drawings, schedules, budgets and project documentation * Prepare and review cost estimates, bids, proposals and contracts * Manage subcontractors, vendors, procurement and project schedules * Lead project meetings and maintain accurate documentation, including drawings, meeting notes, change orders and project plans * Communicate project updates clearly to clients, consultants and internal teams * Procure project materials, equipment and permits * Monitor job-site safety procedures and compliance requirements * Identify and resolve project issues to prevent delays and budget overruns * Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment * Work comfortably in both the office and on active job sites REQUIREMENTS: * Relevant construction and project management experience * Hospitality and commercial construction experience preferred * Strong understanding of construction drawings, schedules, budgets and field coordination * Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential * Strong organizational, leadership and problem-solving skills * Based in the Los Angeles area * Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation * Legally authorized to work in the U.S. * Professional references required TO APPLY, PLEASE SEND: * Resume * Brief introduction * Years of construction and project management experience * Examples of relevant hospitality or commercial projects * Compensation requirements * Two professional references with contact information * Current availability This is a contract position with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role for the right candidate.
