Schedule: 3pm-11:30pm Position Summary: Assembles instrument trays for surgical procedures using computerized count sheets and processes instrumention for sterilizion and distribution. Key Responsibilities:Transports and restocks surgical instrumention and medical merials within surgical suites and SPD according to departmental policies. Receives, sorts, cleans, and decontamines soiled reusable instruments and equipment, manually logging items received. Operes and maintains cleaning and decontaminion equipment such as washers, reprocessors, and pasteurizers. Inspects, prepares, assembles, and sterilizes surgical instruments and merials, following standardized lists and manufacturer guidelines. Loads, programs, and monitors sterilizers during sterilizion cycles to ensure proper operion and safety. Manages telephone communicions, providing routine informion and directing complex inquiries to supervisors. Provides departmental leadership in the absence of senior staff, organizing daily operions and prioritizing work to meet clinical needs. Addresses customer requests, resolves issues, and completes daily shift reports to maintain smooth department workflow. Minimum Qualificions Educion:High School Diploma/GED required Experience:Minimum of two years of experience in Sterile Processing required Licensure/ Certificions:Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) OR certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) required The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expection for this pay the time of posting.
