Overview
-Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Receptionist, where your energy and dedication will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. We will have you learn both front office and back office duties. This is a small office, so interpersonal skills between team members is very crucial. You will be the friendly face welcoming patients, managing appointments, and assisting the doctor with clinical tasks in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify their information, and facilitate check-in procedures using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Schedule appointments accurately, manage patient flow, and coordinate follow-up visits to optimize clinic efficiency.
- Collect patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate; document these measurements precisely in medical records.
- Assist the doctor with clinical tasks including setting up and taking down from procedures, performing x-rays, and treating the patient using laser and shockwave therapy.
- Prepare examination rooms by ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and readiness of medical supplies and equipment.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, including progress notes, and accurate recording of medical histories in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Support administrative duties such as answering phones, managing patient inquiries, verifying insurance information, and handling electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) efficiently.
Skills
- Experience is optional. I am very willing to train those are willing to learn and be taught.
some computer knowledge is advised as a lot of the work we do in on the computer. The EHR system is easy to use and can be taught easily.
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics in outpatient settings.
- Strong organizational skills for managing medical records, intake processes, vital signs collection, and medical documentation efficiently.
