This position will complete daily tasks promptly and provide guest service while maintaining The Cliffs’ Mission, Values, and Forbes Standards. Essential Job Functions: • Cleans all areas within the assigned public space according to the daily checklist, including but not limited to: cleaning glass doors, emptying trash bins, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpeted areas, cleaning surface stains, picking up trash and debris from floors, etc. • Maintains cleanliness and upkeep of public restrooms, including replacing restroom paper supplies and refilling soap dispensers • Stores and maintains the cleaning supply cart • Communicates courteously and professionally with guests, addressing guests by name when greeting them and offering assistance when appropriate • Responds promptly to guest requests, using a tray to deliver items and providing anticipatory service when appropriate (a "plus one") • Uses all cleaning chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheet (SDS) guidelines and with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) • Reports any item requiring repair or replacement to the room inspector, engineer, or Manager on Duty (MOD) • Turns in lost items to management per company policy • Informs supervisor of any unusual incidents or requests • Collaborates with Front Desk and Engineering teams to efficiently meet guest and hotel needs • Communicates courteously and professionally with guests, management, and coworkers • Attends scheduled staff meetings and trainings • Fully and consistently complies with all hotel workplace policies and uniform, personal grooming, and safety requirements • Takes precautions to prevent injury by following all safety training and company protocols • Understands that business needs may occasionally require reassignment from regular shifts to other shifts. • Assists in other departmental areas as needed. • Performs all other duties assigned by management Additional Job Functions: • Flexible work schedules • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays Education, Experience, Skills: • High school diploma • Practical knowledge of customer service in a luxury hotel setting. • Excellent command of English. • Ability to work effectively with people. • Ability to multitask and work in mentally demanding situations. Physical Requirements: • Requires grasping, twisting, writing, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, walking, repetitive motions, hearing, and visual acuity • Ability to stand continuously during shift (eight or more hours). • Ability to frequently stretch, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 pounds. • Ability to stand and walk continuously during shift (up to 8 hours) • Ability to work in stressful situations.
