Join Our Team at Fieldwork Brewing Company – Sacramento
Fieldwork Brewing Company is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead culinary operations at our Sacramento location. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a high-volume, quality-driven environment and takes pride in building strong kitchen teams and consistent food execution.
Our Sacramento taproom is a high-energy, high-volume operation built around hospitality, an ever-rotating lineup of Fieldwork beers, and strong non-alcoholic offerings. Like our other full-kitchen locations, Sacramento features Neapolitan and Detroit-style pizzas, fresh salads, and shareable plates. It’s a dynamic, community-driven space that blends craft beer culture with a full dining experience — and one of the most exciting leadership opportunities in our portfolio.
What You’ll Do
- Lead all day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, cleanliness, and execution at Fieldwork standards
- Hire, train, coach, and develop a team of line cooks and dishwashers through clear expectations and active leadership
- Execute food preparation and service with attention to quality, timing, and presentation
- Manage inventory, ordering, food cost controls, and vendor relationships
- Maintain full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards (logs, storage, cleanliness, food safety)
- Partner with the General Manager and Regional Kitchen Manager on labor forecasting, scheduling, and financial targets
- Ensure recipe adherence, portion control, and menu execution consistency
- Conduct performance check-ins, evaluations, and corrective coaching as needed
- Troubleshoot kitchen equipment issues and coordinate repairs with vendors
- Support special events, private bookings, and brewery-wide initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of kitchen leadership or management experience (brewery or high-volume restaurant preferred)
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and retain kitchen teams
- Strong understanding of food and labor cost management
- Hands-on leadership style — comfortable working the line and leading by example
- Organized, detail-oriented, and operationally minded
- Solid knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and California health codes
- Valid California Food Manager Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
