It is an institution with a lot of tradition in Edmonds, and with a very loyal following. It is a healthy and friendly work environment. Qualifications and job functions include (and we'll teach you how to do most of them): Happy with a smile, respectful, compassionate and caring for people's needs Effective on the phone and in face to face communication Answer the phone, take reservations, respond to questions, greet guests and guide them to available tables Bus tables, serve water, clear and clean tables, run food Package online food orders and have ready for customer pick up Just be an all-around high energy influence and super help to everyone Close proximity to work and reliable transportation is a must Not just a busser or just a host, this is a combination host/busser position We cannot teach you reliability and timeliness. You must already possess those. This is a great steady position that requires availability, punctuality, dedication, attention and a strong desire to serve restaurant guests. You will typically be scheduled for between 8 and 15 hours of work per week but more (and less) is possible depending on your availability, and our needs. Job Requirement: Preference is for the candidates who can start work Thursdays and Fridays at 11 am, and live no farther than 15 to 20 minutes away and have reliable transportation. We are also looking for candidates who are 17 years old or older (no 16s). Please send a little description of what you've done in the past 2 years, and exactly how far you live from Girardi's. You will receive around $20.50+ per hr ($18.35/hr in base wage plus a share of the tip pool currently averaging between $2.00 to $2.75 per hour.) Benefits include half-off everything on the menu during their shifts, and free soda and coffee. We also provide family dinner discount of 20% on the entire bill when you dine with your family during your off days. We do not allow facial piercings, studs or tattoos above the neck line.
