Part of a 3-person chef team, fostering clear and calm communication Looking for an assistant kitchen manager for busy Mexican-Cal fast- casual restaurant. Tacubaya's cuisine focuses on authentic Mexican dishes with a California flair using the highest quality ingredients with everything made from scratch. Your main job responsibilities are the preparation of sauces, soups, stocks, salsas, meats, moles, roasted meats and vegetables and cutting fish, poultry and meats. You also jump on the line when needed to assist line cooks and expedite when it is busy. You are supervising a staff of approximately 5-8 people during your shift, making sure everyone is doing their job, giving breaks, purchasing and receiving products throughout the day and generally keeping the kitchen running smoothly. You are part of a 3 person chef team and we expect that you can communicate clearly and calmly. We are willing to train the right person if you only have a small amount of experience in management. You must have line and prep experience and a great palate! 35-40 hour work week. Must be available to work some nights and weekends. Females are encouraged to apply!
