Needs to be the only dog in the home. If you are interested in fostering but cannot foster Barnabus, reach out either way, we would love to have you on the team, saving dogs in need! Dates needed: August 4–August 11 and again August 13–August 17 Barnabus is smart, playful, ball-motivated, and does best with a calm, confident person who can give him structure and respect his space. He enjoys walks, fetch, and routine. He has made progress with training, but he is a specialized foster placement and needs someone experienced. Important: Barnabus is not a good fit for other animals or kids. He needs an adult-only foster home. He has a history of resource guarding with food/toys and can snap or lunge if he feels pressured, grabbed, or handled too quickly. He is not a “hug/cuddle on demand” dog and needs someone who understands dog body language and boundaries. He also has ongoing skin/allergy care, so his foster will need to follow simple care instructions and keep the rescue updated. Food, supplies, and support will be provided.
