Opportunity to do meaningful work in a professional environment Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary is currently seeking a Service Director to join their team in Los Angeles, California. The Service Director works closely with Funeral Directors and other mortuary staff and assists with funeral and memorial services from set-up to completion. This includes scheduling and setting up flowers, chapels, programs, music selections, caskets and waiting on family members, all to make services meaningful while providing a positive customer service experience. The Service Director must be comfortable with public speaking while maintaining a strong and professional presentation. A high level of customer service interaction is necessary with families, guests and rabbis. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to keeping the mortuary stocked with materials as well as light housekeeping which includes, vacuuming, emptying trash cans, dusting and other tasks required to maintain a neat and orderly facility. The hourly rate for this position is $22.00–$26.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. This position must be able to work Sunday through Friday from 8:00-4:30. This position is off on Saturdays and one other day during the week.
