This research study investigates how cannabidiol (CBD) affects alcohol consumption in individuals who regularly drink alcohol.

The purpose of this research study is to learn more about how cannabidiol (CBD) impacts alcohol use in people who drink alcohol regularly.
What happens if you join the study?
• Your study participation will last around 13 weeks, involving 5 visits to the Anschutz Medical Campus, weekly phone check-ins, brief daily surveys, and 8 weeks of daily study medication.
Main Procedures Involved:
• Blood draw
• Review of health and medication history
• Alcohol self-administration task
• Breathalyzer
• Questionnaires and cognitive tests
• Urine drug and pregnancy tests
• At home fecal sample collection
• 8 weeks of daily study medication
• 8 weeks of short daily surveys
• 5 visits to Anschutz Medical Campus
You may be eligible to participate if you:
1. Are 21-65 years old
2. Have previously used cannabis
3. Drink alcohol regularly
Not everyone will be eligible to participate, other study eligibility criteria will be assessed by the study team.
