The Entry-Level Construction Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from start to finish. This role assists project managers and site supervisors in ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards and contract requirements.
Qualifications
• Assist in preparing and updating project schedules, & reports.
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Support field operations by tracking project progress and documenting daily activities.
• Prepare and maintain Request for Information (RFI) logs, submittal logs, and change order documentation.
• Monitor job site safety and quality standards in coordination with field staff.
• Participate in project meetings and assist with meeting minutes and follow-up items.
• Assist in preparing project close-out documents, as-built drawings, warranties, and punch lists.
• 0–2 years of experience in construction or project engineering (internship experience acceptable).
• Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project) and construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar).
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are a must.
• Ability to work effectively in a team or independent environment to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
