About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and personable Part-Time Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a residential building in Flushing, Queens. This is an on-site, relationship-driven role focused on maintaining strong communication between ownership, vendors, and building staff.
Responsibilities:
Visit the property 2–3 times per week to check in with the building superintendent and monitor day-to-day operations
Serve as a liaison between building owners, residents, vendors, and the superintendent
Coordinate and follow up on maintenance requests and vendor service appointments
Walk the property to identify maintenance issues, safety concerns, or code violations
Communicate with residents regarding building notices, updates, and concerns
Assist with scheduling repairs, inspections, and routine building services
Help resolve minor tenant/resident issues and escalate larger issues to ownership as needed
Maintain basic records of vendor visits, work orders, and building conditions
Support ownership with occasional administrative tasks (emails, scheduling, light paperwork)
Qualifications:
Prior experience in property management, building operations, or a related field preferred
Mandarin or Cantonese speaking ability strongly preferred — the majority of residents are Chinese-speaking only, and clear communication is essential to the role
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Comfortable interacting with vendors, contractors, and residents in person
Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
Must be able to travel to the Flushing, Queens property regularly
Basic computer skills (email, scheduling, simple documentation)
