Help prepare the next generation of tax professionals **TAX PREPARATION INSTRUCTOR NEEDED – $100–$150/HR – BROOKLYN** **Simms Career Center** is seeking an experienced **Tax Preparation Instructor** to lead our upcoming **6-Week Tax Preparation Training Program** in Brooklyn, NY. 💰 **PAY: $100–$150 PER HOUR, DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS** This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional, EA, CPA, accountant, or tax educator looking for a well-paid, limited part-time teaching opportunity. ### SCHEDULE • 6-week program • **One 2-hour class per week** • 12 hours of scheduled classroom instruction • **2 additional workshops during the 6-week program** • Part-time / temporary position • In-person – Brooklyn, NY ### COURSE TOPICS The instructor will introduce students to practical individual income tax preparation, including: • Form 1040 • Filing Status • Dependents • W-2 & 1099 Income • Deductions • Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) • Child Tax Credit • Schedule C / Self-Employment Basics • Taxpayer Due Diligence • Tax Software • Electronic Filing • IRS Rules & Ethics • Hands-On Tax Return Preparation ### WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR Ideal candidates may include: • Experienced Tax Preparers • Enrolled Agents (EA) • CPAs • Accountants • Tax Office Managers • Tax Professionals with teaching/training experience **Teaching experience is preferred but not required.** A strong candidate should have substantial real-world tax preparation experience and be able to explain tax concepts clearly to beginning students. ### COMPENSATION **$100–$150 PER HOUR** Final rate will be based on tax preparation experience, credentials, teaching experience, and overall qualifications. ### TO APPLY Please reply with: 1.
