Description

We are looking for someone to join our team as a Warehouse Associate. In this role, you will ensure a safe working environment, manage outgoing and incoming shipments, and maintain accurate cycle counts and material handling. Our ideal candidate has some knowledge of inventory management, shipping, and handling and experience in customer service and purchasing. Responsibilities: • Receive shipments, and verify correct quantities to shipping documents • Accurately record shipment information in the company system • Report shipment discrepancies and issues to the Customer Service Manager • Accurately fill orders using shelf inventory and safely package materials for shipping • Utilize third-party logistics software to generate shipments • Safely operate a forklift, pallet jack, and hand carts to move materials • Appropriately store materials in the correct warehouse locations • Perform inventory counts, identify, and record discrepancies • Work with internal departments to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent preferred • Valid driver’s license • 1-3 years of experience in warehousing, shipping, or receiving • Understanding inventory management is desirable • Able to work with little to no supervision to complete assigned tasks • Good written and oral communication skills and excellent organizational skills • Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word • Ability to sit or stand for long periods • Comply with all safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment • Undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations and successfully pass a drug screening

The Inventory Control Associate will be accountable for deploying a rigorous inventory management program at Hamilton Kent, to include cycle counts, performing audits, root cause analyses and inventory adjustments while working cross-functionally with warehouse, procurement, manufacturing and logistics teams.  The Inventory Control Associate will be responsible for inbound receiving of direct materials, ensuring handling units are printed and affixed as well as system receipts are completed. This person will collaborate extensively with the Distribution Center Manager and Distribution Center Coordinator to maintain inventory integrity, system alignment, and compliance.
