This is a 2-family owner Thunderbird that's been in storage since the 1980's. It is a 99% complete, original car and would make a great beginning point for a complete original restoration or custom. I had plans to restore the car and take to car shows and use in parades. Unfortunately those plans have changed, and I need to sell. This car has: new radiator new exhaust new tires new brakes new heater core new water pump the highly desirable reclining passenger seat swing away steering wheel for easier entry/exit Other things I'm likely forgetting along with some additional spare parts that go with the car Depending upon your desires, this car could use: An engine rebuild (does not run) 390 FE Rust repair on the lower section behind both rear wheels A repaint of course Landau vinyl roof Small rust through in passenger floorboard due to leaking heater core. Transmission (fmx 3 speed auto) had a leak at the shift lever when I had it running. Otherwise, transmission worked fine. The story behind the engine is I did a mild rebuild with new pistons, rings, and bearings. When I had it apart, I decided to put in a windage tray. Unfortunately, then I got it running, the windage tray restricted the oil from returning to the pan and caused the engine to lose oil pressure. I took it apart to fix it, but I experienced a major illness that halted that work. When I got well enough, I just put everything back together as best I could so I could sell it knowing I would not be able to complete the restoration like I had hoped. This is a solid and well-preserved car for its age. I will deliver within a reasonable distance after a deal has been made since it does not run. Serious inquiries only please. If you see it listed, it's available. No, I will not take $2000 for it. Cash Only. Thank you for looking.
