We are looking for a skilled and dedicated RV Service Technician to join our service team and ensure our customers' RVs are maintained and repaired to the highest standards. Hourly pay relative to level of work experience; available weekly production bonuses, add an additional 20% to total weeks pay. Dealership Location: 3334 Paul Buchman Hwy, Zephyryhills, FL 33540 Responsibilities: Service Technicians are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing maintenance on a variety of recreational vehicles. The primary duties will include: Performing inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components. Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner. Conducting pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure RVs meet quality and safety standards before delivery to customers. Documenting all work performed, including parts used and labor time, in the dealership's service management system. Communicating with service advisors and customers to provide detailed explanations of repairs and maintenance work. Keeping up-to-date with industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and technical bulletins. Maintaining a clean and organized work area and ensuring tools and equipment are in good working condition. Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies. All other responsibilities as assigned. Willing to learn all aspects of RV repair including house repairs Current certification (RVIA/RVDA/RVTI) OR interest in completing online training courses for RVIA certification Paid on-the-job RVTI Technician Certification Training Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Strong knowledge of RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High school diploma or equivalent; RV experience preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. RVIA/RVDA certification or other relevant industry certifications (preferred) Experience with computerized diagnostic tools and software (preferred). Position Summary The Chief Mechanic position is a “hands-on”, working manager that will lead skilled and semi-skilled mechanics in the most difficult and complex vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance and repair work. The individual will be responsible for the most complex mechanical repairs to automotive, diesel, and other power-driven equipment. The Chief Mechanic exercises functional and technical supervision over fleet maintenance staff. Must be a member or become a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 12 Location: Rancho Dominguez, CA 90221 Key Responsibilities Lead, train, and assist journey level and semi-skilled mechanics; assign work to mechanics Inspect, diagnose, and locate mechanical difficulties on automobiles, trucks, and a variety of diesel and gasoline powered vehicles and construction equipment. Monitor and manage CARB’s emissions Data Base for On and Offroad equipment.  Fabricate and assemble parts for automotive and heavy equipment.  Use welding equipment, drill presses, grinders and a large assortment of other power and hand tools and measurement instruments required for journey level fabrication work.  Overhaul, repair, and adjust engines, electrical systems, transmissions, differentials, clutches, and heavy construction equipment hydraulic systems.  Monitor and manage inventory of shop stock, assisting in the purchasing of Equipment, maintenance parts and materials.  Assures proper completion of job assignments with minimum expense and maximum productivity.   Certifies records of work in progress and completed, including time reports, material requisitions, maintenance records and equipment counts when required.   Collaborates closely with supervisors of upcoming jobs for equipment needs.   Performs quality control inspections to ensure all repairs meet or exceed regulatory requirements and internal safety and reliability standards.   Qualifications Five (5) years of related experience, three (3) of which must be in supervising direct reports Knowledge of CHP BIT/DOT Inspection program, CARBS emissions for On and Offroad equipment Must have a full set of journey level hand tools to accomplish assigned work Commercial Driver’s License Ability to operate computer systems and learn new software/applications Must be a member or become a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 12 Compensation $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Physical Requirements Prolonged sitting, standing, walking on unlevel and slippery surfaces, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, grasping and making repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties. Occasionally lift 100 pounds with assistance; frequently lift, carry and manipulate up to 50 pounds. Near and far vision when inspecting work. Work in all weather conditions, use cleaning and lubricating chemicals which may expose the employee to fumes, dust and air contaminants, drive motorized vehicles, heavy equipment and work around moving traffic and often works with constant interruptions. Requirements Qualified candidate will have the following: Minimum 6+ months of experience in RV, automotive, or carpentry sectors preferred, focusing on repair and installation. Practical experience in construction and carpentry is required. Proficiency in hitch installation and brake control systems is necessary. Must be capable of working in outdoor or non-climate-controlled environments. Strong hand-eye coordination is essential. Meticulous attention to detail is a prerequisite. Electrical systems experience is mandatory. Possess the ability to comprehend and convey information effectively. Capacity to accurately read a tape measure and utilize a variety of hand tools is essential. Willingness to work weekends as needed is necessary. Basic computer skills are needed. Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record is mandatory. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
