Description

GAC Enterprises, LLC, a fast-growing telecommunications construction company, is seeking a Fiber Splicer to join our team. As a Splicer, you will be responsible for splicing fiber optic cables and performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fiber optic networks. This position requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Splice and terminate fiber optic cables according to industry standards Complete and maintain accurate splice records, as-built maps, and other related documentation Troubleshoot problems with fiber networks and find effective solutions Perform fiber optic testing using equipment such as OTDR, power meters, and fusion splicers Ensure all work is completed within safety guidelines and company standards Maintain and care for all assigned equipment Train, mentor, and provide leadership to employees of an assigned area, or project. Be available for on call dispatching for maintenance work. Other duties as assigned by leadership. Work shifts start as early as 6:00 am with a 30-minute lunch. It is preferable that personnel be willing to work night shifts, if needed. Duties and Responsibilities: Fabricate compliant composite components, which will consist of tool preparation, wet ply lamination, prepreg lamination, vacuum bagging, de- tooling, curing, finishing, and core shaping.
