Necessary Skills: Demonstrated leadership ability Sit-down propane forklift experience Job Description: Duties & Responsibilities Information: Ensures workstations meet all safety, 1+5S and TPM requirements by being actively involved with the assessment of all workstations per Quality and 1+5S guidelines Reviews all Method Sheets that apply to work performed within the department and facilitates training of all employees per proper Method Sheets and Training Procedures with HR Facilitates proper scanning of work orders within the Oracle Production System to ensure accurate production reporting and inventory; ensures all rework tickets are filled out and turned in to the proper department Influences team members by displaying a positive proactive work ethic that sets the standards for maintaining a safe, productive work environment while setting and maintaining high quality standards and striving for continuous improvement Functions as a working production team member as needed Maintains First5 Boards and conducts First5 Meeting in Supervisors absence Facilitates and helps maintain all lean enterprise initiatives, 1+5S, TPM, VSM requirements Signs off on all completed department outbound production prior to movement to the next level of production Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader Requirements Must have Manufacturing Leadership experience Must be willing to pass a National background check and a Drug test. Production Supervisor Shift: 2nd shift Pay: $65,000+ (also straight time after 45 hours) Description Due to growing sales, we are adding a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor. This position will be responsible for leading machining associates to maximize product quality and quantity with available personnel, material, and equipment in the safest and most efficient manner. Requirements What Will You Do? Direct the activities of, coach, and provide support to all personnel assigned to the operations of the machining plant. Assure that people are using safe work methods. Execute production plans in accordance with customer delivery requirements. Ensure that all machinery operates efficiently and is being repaired when needed. Provide training to machine plant department personnel. Communicate and coordinate with all departments to resolve problems that arise and to improve efficiencies and reduce waste. Review daily production reports so as to identify problem areas and initiates corrective action. Follow up on these to assure that the problem does not recur. Prepare and conduct employee performance evaluations. Recognize employees for their positive contributions to the successful operations of the department. Perform employee counseling and corrective actions. Coach employees on improving performance, behavior, and teamwork. Participate in dismissals or suspensions when required. At Whiteline Express, you’ll keep our trucks and trailers running strong. You’ll handle diagnostics, maintenance, and full repairs on brakes, transmissions, rear-ends, clutches, diesel engines, electrical systems, and welding or fabrication work. You’ll remove, fix, reinstall, and adjust parts, inspect your work, and make sure everything meets safety rules and regulations. You’ll also lead the crew, assign tasks, check work, guide on tough repairs, and help train others. You’ll manage parts using TMT, handle after-hours repairs when needed, respond to service calls, and keep maintenance records up to date. You’ll open and close the shop and make sure everything runs smoothly and safely. We’re looking for someone with solid diesel mechanic experience (lead or supervisory experience is a plus), strong mechanical, electrical, and welding skills, and the ability to use diagnostic tools and repair software (TMT a bonus). You need a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or willing to get one) and the flexibility to work varied hours, including after-hours calls. What You’ll be doing as a Diesel Mechanic: Supervise shift mechanics by assigning tasks, verifying completed work, and assisting with training and disciplinary actions as needed. Authorize and oversee after-hours repairs in alignment with company policies and procedures. Manage parts inventory using TMT, including ordering, receiving, and tracking of parts and supplies. Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and full-service repairs on heavy-duty vehicles and trailers, including work on brakes, transmissions, rear-ends, clutches, diesel engines, electrical systems, and welding/fabrication tasks. Remove, repair, reinstall, and adjust vehicle components; conduct thorough final inspections to ensure all repairs meet federal and state safety regulations. Complete detailed work orders and maintain accurate maintenance and repair records. Respond to on-site service calls and provide support as needed. Collaborate with technicians and provide guidance on complex repairs and troubleshooting. Open and close the maintenance facility, ensuring readiness and security of operations. Diesel Mechanic Required Qualifications: Proven experience as a diesel mechanic; supervisory or lead technician experience preferred. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair software (experience with TMT a plus). Strong mechanical, electrical, and welding skills. Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities. Assist with vehicle safety checks and ensure a smooth timely pull-out for each location. Monitor shuttle operations during peak arrival and departure times. Responsible for ensuring all vehicles are fueled, ready for dispatch and secured at the off-site parking location before or at the end of the shift.     Compensation:   $32.00 - $36.50 / Hour  Quarterly Safety Bonus Program  Benefits:  Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance  401k with matching  Annual pay raises  Holiday pay  Paid Time Off with increasing amounts based on your years of service  Responsibilities:  Provide front line supervision to drivers, program support staff, and additional staff assigned to the Shuttle Transportation Program, representing supervisory responsibility for 20+ employees.  Ensure efficient pull-out of all shuttle routes at the beginning of each shift so that all shuttle service starts on time and can maintain efficient and safe service.  Assign available vehicles to each route, ensure that all external signage is current, and drivers have necessary supplies and documentation paperwork.  Work with the Operations Manager pertaining to fleet management and movement of assets.   Oversee fleet of 20+ shuttle vehicles as well as support vehicles.   Review fleet condition daily and assist in scheduling vehicles for repairs as determined by the Operations Manager  Ensure that the fleet is clean, working with the drivers to schedule and perform cleaning activities.  Oversee ordering and procurement of equipment and supplies, ensuring that staff and daily operations have all equipment and supplies needed; ensure that Shuttles are stocked with required supplies, schedules, and other informational pieces at all times.   Work with the Operations Manager to cover scheduled and unscheduled absences in the event a driver does not check in on time.    Assist with data gathering or updating shuttle operations records as needed.  Conduct on-the-road observations at various locations in the system, monitoring on-time performance, shuttle operations, customer service, safe driving principles and document/follow-up with any areas of concern.   Assist in the investigation of workplace crashes/injuries and ensure adherence to safety standards and safe workplace practices.  Other duties as assigned.  Requirements:  2+ years of experience in a Lead or Supervisory role  2+ years of driving experience (shuttle, routed, or point-to-point transportation using a vehicle with a 10,000 GVWR or greater)  Must have experience in using Microsoft Office Suite  Must be at least 21 years of age  Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record  CDL Class A, B or C License  Passenger Endorsement  Current/Active DOT Medical Card  TransWest Culture: Come join our close-knit team.
