We are seeking a Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift in our Las Vegas, NV facility. The scope of this position includes all phases of production, including processing, packaging, case packing, and palletizing. Also is responsible for managing the supervision of the plant production team to deliver business results around Safety, Quality, Production, and Cost initiatives. Must ensure full compliance with all food safety and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Supervise all production activities in accordance with corporate and plant policies, programs and standards concerning safety, quality, productivity and cost. Provide continual leadership and guidance to team members for the purpose of increasing their effectiveness and establishing good working relationships. Actively promote plant safety and environmental programs, and procedures that follow corporate and regulatory requirements. Manage staffing levels to current standards. Assign responsibilities to team members as required to meet planned production schedules. Coordinate the proper training of team members within the assigned department. Apply disciplinary actions in accordance with plant policies and procedures. Review shift activities and results and adjust as required for continuous improvement. Investigate production delays and take corrective action as necessary. Keep management informed of the status of production and promptly notify management of issues impacting production. Prepare reports as needed. Promote an environment conducive to teams, teamwork, and line-driven accountability. Complete special projects, duties and assignments as appropriate. Follow-up on and resolve all production and operation issues. Adheres to all policies, guidelines, and procedures, such as GMP, HACCP, and work and safety rules.   Perform other duties as required. Requirements High School diploma and/or 2-4 years’ experience working as a lead or supervisor in the production or manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be qualifying. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with R.W. Work Schedule: 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday Rotating Weekend Coverage every 6 weekends (additional $300/day for weekend shifts) Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develops and leads a cross-functional/departmental team to address day-to-day operational issues and reach short and long-term performance goals Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for UAW hourly personnel Motivates team members to achieve plan goals by maintaining a regular presence on the shop floor Utilizes continuous improvement, visual daily management, and the corrective action process to drive sustainable improvements in manufacturing Manages employee relations issues and communicates with the union Communicates and follows through with Operations Managers, Value Stream Managers, and Human Resources Manager Sets, tracks, and achieves performance standards regarding safety, productivity, and quality Manages key performance indicators and helps set stretch targets for the team Reviews time cards using ADP E-time for accurate reporting Manages assigned work and utilizes SAP to look up work order statuses Must have experience with MRP systems Requirements Education and Experience Requirements High School diploma or equivalent; college or technical schooling preferred Machining experience (metal removal, mills, lathes, grinding, heat treat, etc.) Experience in Lean Manufacturing Union experience and the ability to handle union contractual matters Demonstrated ability to de-escalate conflict in a union environment Strong understanding of machining techniques and blueprint reading Team-building and strong interpersonal skills Strong computer and problem-solving skills Ability to be accountable for themselves and others Experience with timekeeping for an hourly workforce with overtime capabilities This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
