Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develops and leads a cross-functional/departmental team to address day-to-day operational issues and reach short and long-term performance goals
Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for UAW hourly personnel
Motivates team members to achieve plan goals by maintaining a regular presence on the shop floor
Utilizes continuous improvement, visual daily management, and the corrective action process to drive sustainable improvements in manufacturing
Manages employee relations issues and communicates with the union
Communicates and follows through with Operations Managers, Value Stream Managers, and Human Resources Manager
Sets, tracks, and achieves performance standards regarding safety, productivity, and quality
Manages key performance indicators and helps set stretch targets for the team
Reviews time cards using ADP E-time for accurate reporting
Manages assigned work and utilizes SAP to look up work order statuses
Must have experience with MRP systems

Machining experience (metal removal, mills, lathes, grinding, heat treat, etc.)
Experience in Lean Manufacturing
Union experience and the ability to handle union contractual matters

Job Summary

Principal Responsibilities:
• Supervise and assign tasks to personnel to meet or exceed daily planned event schedule. Monitor progress during shift and take corrective action when required.
• Lead Mold Technicians and Mold Makers in operating and maintaining a variety of machine tools to cut, create, maintain and repair mold and tooling as required. • Prepare various documents such as but not limited to work orders using MES, mold status in Hydra when a job is completed, hours and details of work performed (estimate time, capturing time, preventive maintenance, changeover, and cost related to time (labor) ).
• Obtain quotes for mold repairs, tooling, cleaning and polishing components. Communicate with Manager and/or Purchasing Agent for ordering mold related components
• Support or coach for mold repairs during process setup as necessary
• Update Kronos as required for attendance for direct reports
• Ensure mold is safe and in good working condition by checking MES for mold history. Make comments and create job sheet if no history of mold has been recorded.
• Ensure molds are maintained in accordance with company and relevant quality standards before turning over to production

• Operate forklift and lifting devices to position mold or tooling during maintenance and repair of mold

We are seeking a proactive Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team. This role will be instrumental in leading a group of production employees in achieving production goals, ensuring quality standards are met, and fostering a safe and efficient work environment. The Manufacturing Supervisor will serve as a key link between production teams and upper management.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to meet fluctuating demands.
Lead, train, and develop team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and competency enhancement.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Identify process inefficiencies and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and quality.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and promote a safe working environment.
Collaborate with engineering and quality departments to address and resolve production issues.
Maintain accurate records of production metrics, labor, and equipment performance.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles of CNC machining a MUST
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
Ability to analyze data and metrics and make informed decisions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.

Maintains inventory accuracy by conducting physical counts; reconciling with ERP system.
