Description

The Student Outreach Coordinator reports to the Rehab Therapy Manager and is responsible for developing and implementing outreach strategies to attract, engage, and recruit rehab students into healthcare roles. This role involves building relationships with educational institutions, coordinating events, and creating programs that connect students with healthcare career opportunities. The coordinator will work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment with staffing needs and organizational goals. This role is important in bridging the gap between educational institutions and healthcare staffing, ensuring a steady pipeline of skilled professionals to meet the growing demands of the industry.  Requirements Core Functions & Responsibilities  Outreach & Engagement:  Develop and execute outreach strategies to attract students to healthcare staffing opportunities in Therapy affiliated programs (Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, etc.).  Establish and maintain relationships with educational institutions, including colleges, universities, and vocational schools.  Organize and participate in career fairs, workshops, and other recruitment events to interact with students and promote healthcare career pathways and Triage’s Therapy affiliated programs (Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, etc.)  Program Development:  Create and implement programs that connect students with internships, externships, and job opportunities in healthcare.  Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver presentations, informational sessions, and recruitment materials tailored to student audiences.  Relationship Management:  Serve as the primary point of contact for students, providing guidance on career options, application processes, and job placement.  Build and maintain relationships with student organizations, faculty, and career services departments to increase awareness of healthcare staffing opportunities.  Prospect potential candidates, screen resumes, conduct interviews and perform skills assessment tests.  Build and maintain good relationships with universities and other educational institutions.  Marketing & Communications:  Distribute marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, and digital content, to promote healthcare careers to students.  Utilize social media and other digital platforms and alumni communities to engage with students and promote job opportunities.  Contact university career counselors and provide material on internship opportunities.  Design and post ads on social media/college campuses and source potential candidates on social media groups.  Data Management & Reporting:  Track outreach efforts, recruiting metrics after each career event, student engagement, and recruitment outcomes, providing regular reports to management.  Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improving outreach and recruitment strategies.  Collaboration & Teamwork:  Work closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and other internal stakeholders to align outreach efforts with staffing needs.  Liaise with teams to design internship programs.  Participate in cross-functional teams to support broader recruitment and staffing initiatives.    Required Skills, Abilities, and Education  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field or an associate degree from an accredited PTA or COTA program is preferred.  2+ years of experience in student outreach, recruitment, or a related role, preferably in healthcare staffing.  Healthcare industry or health care staffing experience (work as a Recruiter, COTA, PTA, PT or OT)  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse groups and networking abilities.  Experience with event planning and execution.  Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing strategies and sourcing.  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.  Knowledge of various candidate evaluation techniques.  Hands-on experience with HubSpot, resumes and CRM technology.    Work Schedule  In-office and on-site at our Omaha, NE location, with flexibility to work from home on an ad-hoc basis with manager approval, when not traveling. This position is a salaried position, with typical shifts being an 8-hour workday for a 40-hour work week. Extended/modified hours may be expected due to travel.  Travel expectations are seasonal.
