Description

As the Director of Planning at NYC Alliance Company LLC, you will oversee the end-to-end planning processes across our retail and wholesale operations. This role is critical for ensuring that our merchandise strategies are aligned with financial objectives and market demands. You will partner with Merchandising Managers, Retail Store team, and Wholesale leaders and production. Your analytical insights will inform decision-making and strategy, optimizing product flow and maximizing profitability across all channels. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive planning strategies that align with the overall business goals and objectives of the company. Lead and mentor the planning team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Analyze sales trends, inventory levels, and market conditions to forecast demand and optimize merchandise assortments. Work closely with cross-functional teams including merchandising, sourcing, and retail operations to ensure alignment on planning activities. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate performance and make data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability. Manage the seasonal planning calendar, ensuring timely execution of all planning activities and adherence to deadlines. Oversee the allocation of inventory to maximize sales potential and minimize excess inventory. Identify and mitigate risks associated with inventory management and planning processes. Prepare and present reports to senior management, highlighting planning achievements, challenges, and future strategies. Requirements Must have off price, wholesale and retail store experience Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field; MBA preferred. 8+ years of experience in planning or merchandising, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within the retail or fashion industry. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market insights to drive sales performance. Proven track record of developing and implementing effective planning strategies that enhance organizational performance. Excellent leadership skills with experience in managing and developing diverse teams. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Proficiency in planning and inventory management software, along with Microsoft Excel. Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to driving results.
