Patrol/Security Officer (Ventura)

SUMMARY The security officer will perform vehicular patrol tours of customers’ premises and serve as a visible deterrent to crime. The patrol officer will conduct foot patrols of assigned areas and enforce the customers’ rules and regulations, including parking enforcement and towing. The patrol officer shall report all incidents to the customer via an Incident Report. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Conduct vehicular and foot patrols as required. • Provide rapid response to safety, fire, medical, crime, and other emergencies. • Report safety hazards and violations via an Incident Report which is provided to the customer. • Prepare and submit daily activity reports with any incident reports containing required and pertinent information in a timely and efficient manner. • Escort employees and other members of the property as needed. • Conduct locking and unlocking procedures as required in the post orders. • Provide security for special events as required. • KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED (BUT NOT REQUIRED): • Knowledge of post orders and guidelines • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in the English language for the purpose of public interaction and report writing. • Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards. • Neat and professional appearance. • Friendly and professional demeanor. • Ability to provide quality customer service. • Ability to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively at customers’ site. • Good observation skills. • Strong ethics and integrity. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: • Sit, stand or walk and remain alert for extended periods of time. • Walk on uneven terrain • Push, pull and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs. from a standing position. • Must be able to freely extend arms to retrieve items on shelving above your head. REQUIREMENTS: • Must be age 18 or older • Must possess clean driving history with DMV • Must be eligible to work in the United States • Must possess a valid driver's license • Subject to criminal background check and drug testing. • Flexibility to work varied schedule • EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. • Must have California Guard Card
