We are looking for a woman to join us in our sun-soaked, three-story, five-bedroom home in Mid-Cambridge. We are seeking an easygoing, independent, interesting person who expects to stay for an extended time – a year or longer. The room has 120 sq ft with an ample light and a closet.. The pluses – congenial housemates, large, well-equipped kitchen, large living room, hardwood floors, two bathrooms, washer/dryer, deck, and lots of natural light. Has fun details like a piano, floor lamps, and a fire pole. Easy access to public transportation, near Whole Foods, and bicycle friendly. The minuses – no off-street parking, no communal storage space About us, oldest to youngest: • 1 (he/him): Grandfather, local legend, VW bus owner, electrical engineer who invented a fireworks-related microprocessor. • 2 (she/her): Marine oceanography postdoc, outdoor enthusiast, and avid reader. Always seeking adventure in far-off places and the little corners of daily life. • 3 (he/him): Scientist doing a postdoc at MIT. I like backpacking, baking, reading, playing squash, long distance running. • 4 (she/her): Public policy graduate who enjoys spending time with family, eating good food, and exploring the great outdoors. • 5 (he/him): Past & future political campaign worker, amateur outdoorsman, adventure addict, and congenial conversationalist. We are community-oriented while respecting each other’s space. We generally keep a 9 AM to 5 PM work schedule. We have optional potluck dinners. By choice, we do not have a TV in the common space. We are looking for a non-smoker with no pets. Regarding next steps, we’d like to have a brief chat on the phone. Then we can arrange an in-person meeting and house tour.
