I'm a 39yo man looking for a third housemate to share my three bedroom house with myself and one other similarly aged man. The other person is my good friend and has been living here for years. I'm a musician, he's an artist. I have been here about 5 years. I'm asking for $850 a month due on the first and first/last/security deposit up front. The cost includes the utilities of electricity, water/sewer, heat, and wireless internet. The rental agreement will be month-to-month and the room can be available starting September 1st. I will require a background check and signed rental agreement. The private space includes a sizable second-floor bedroom with two windows, overhead light, and 6 electrical outlets. It also includes two very large/walk-in closets. There is also private shelf space for you in the kitchen and in each of the two bathrooms. Public space/utilities include: kitchen/dining area and use of appliances and dishes, living room including an HD smart tv, 2 bathrooms including a stone tile shower and a clawfoot bath tub, washer and dryer, basement gym equipment, covered porch facing the CT river, large open backyard w/fire pit, air purifier and dehumidifier. Garage space can be negotiated in the case of motorcycle, boat, etc. The home itself is about 100 years old and has a beautiful view of the CT river and has ample woods connecting to the sizeable backyard. There is a small degree of agriculture going on which you can choose to engage in or also grow your own crops/etc. The turners falls bicycle path is just moments away, and Greenfield as well as Turners are about 5-minute drives from the house. I have a beautiful 4-year old 15-pound orange fluffy cat also lives here that is extremely friendly so hopefully you are not allergic to cats. The ideal candidate would be reliable with the rent and very importantly able and willing to clean up after themselves, especially with cooking/dishes. It's a rental and I'm living with you, not cleaning up after you. I'm currently not allowing cats or dogs after a bad experience with a former housemate, but can allow caged animals (reptiles, small mammals, insects, etc.) I also am a musician so you will need to be ok with scheduled loud sound from time to time.
