Hey yall, Roommate fell thru, room is back on the market! Thanks for taking a look at the ad! Room available now in north Oakland. We are on the third floor of a triplex basically, out rent and utilities is separate from the other two floors. Our unit is a 4 bedroom/1 bath unit. A little bit about the place. Rent is $800 paid to the landlord, wifi is around 25$ per person and pg&e is generally around the same, but that can fluctuate a little depending on the seasons. The room we have for rent is 9x12, so a bit on the smaller side (there are pictures of the room with the old roommates set up and empty so you can have an idea), and the unit itself doesn't have any closets so its not super ideal for people with tons of stuff. Shared kitchen space, shared living room with TV and old school video games/VHS, bathroom with clawfoot tub and big windows for lots of natural light. No A/C unfortunately but we do have heat that's run with hot water so it doesn't effect our bill all that much during the winter. Washer and Dryer in the unit so you don't have to drive anywhere. Backyard is shared by all three floors, its a great space to host folks and do a nice BBQ and has a couple good fruit trees. There's a separate area we have for bike storage if you cycle at all. We all do a weekly chore chart, and have shared expenses for things like toilet paper and trash bags etc. We try to have a sit down formal house meetings a few times a year, but other than that we are a fairly laid back bunch who will hit the bars or throw a party every now and then. A little bit about your potential new housemates... I'm K (33 he/him) been living in Oakland since 2010 originally from San Diego. Ex chef turned bartender by trade. Spend my days hanging with the pup, gardening, riding my motorcycle, reading something interesting or just binging some movies/TV. I've got a 3 year old golden retriever named Murphy who is the light of my life. Looking for a roommates who want to have more of a home, than just a place to live. I don't need to live with a clean freak but someone who is mindful of shared spaces and respectful of peoples things. Ju (33 he/him) brewer who sometimes skateboards, just interested in a respectful roommate who can communicate well and down to go with the flow. Mostly keep to myself but will have my partner over every now and then. Ja (28 he/him) enjoys music, books, playing instruments, bicycles, movies, concerts, nature, being healthy and relatively active when he's not lounging in his room. Looking for a cool and easy-going roommate who respects boundaries and is clean and considerate. We are a 420 friendly household, and we like to burn candles every now and then so I would say if you are looking for a low scent home this probably wont be for you. We all enjoy music, movies and video games and the sound does travel. We are all on the same page that we can just shoot a text if we need someone to be quiet.
