Right over the Golden Gate Bridge, we are near many hiking and biking trails, and near the bus to San Francisco. The home is in a quiet neighborhood in a great location. It's sunny, and has a large remodeled kitchen. The washer/dryer is in the garage, and you would be sharing a large bathroom with two very clean housemates. We are at the foot of gorgeous Mt. Tamalpais, so very close to the beach (15 minutes), and 25 minutes from San Francisco. Close but not too close to the beautiful town of Mill Valley, with great restaurants, an active plaza, a gorgeous library, and many services. There are three of us: one works at a hospital, one is in retail, and I teach relational neuroscience and help people have a happy brain. The room is up a spiral staircase and very private. It is a large room (17.5’ x 14’ including a 5’ x 6’ walk-in closet). There is an adjoining 17’ x 8’ (approx 140 sq ft) attached inside balcony that is great for books, storage, etc. (see photo) –a total is 385 sq ft. A local storage unit, Marinship Self Storage in Sausalito is $583 for a smaller space as the balcony. The bedroom is exceptionally light, with a vaulted ceiling, windows on all four sides, and a new carpet. In the photo, the room is unfurnished. It’s available October 1st, or possibly sooner. The house has a roomy living room and large remodeled kitchen (see photo of 1/2 the kitchen). Share FULL bathroom with tub, counter space, drawer, and cabinet space. We have a wonderful, flat, sunny back yard and garden. There is a washer/dryer in garage. We are close but not too close to downtown Mill Valley. I’m looking for someone who mostly works outside the home, as I work at home. The home is not set up for pets. We’re looking for someone who is conscious, responsible, clean, and has good communication skills, all of which we practice with each other. Although we have a wonderful house cleaner, we’re looking for someone willing to pitch in to keep the common spaces clean. No smoking of anything, drama, or recreational drugs please. The house is located in a traditional neighborhood with less than a five - minute walk to Whole Foods, restaurants and other services. A car is not required for a San Francisco commute because the #4 GGT bus service stops nearby about every 7 minutes on weekday mornings on its route to downtown, FIDI, Market St. corridor or SOMA. The rent for the room is $1350.00 plus utilities. For the utilities, the average amount throughout the year is around $240, and is higher in the winter, lower in the summer. The utilities include: # A HOUSECLEANER who comes twice monthly # Garbage, water, Direct TV for living room TV, Wi-Fi, and PG& E. We also share cleaning supplies, an annual water filter, and a holiday bonus for the housecleaner. We share a few tasks like taking out the garbage. I pay for the gardener. To move in: $1350 for the first month + $1350 deposit. The house is beautiful, quiet and well located, but what’s MOST important is the quality of the consciousness of the people who live here.
