Hi! We’re looking to fill 1 room in our 3-bedroom, upstairs unit of a lovely home in quiet West Berkeley. The room will be available October 1st. Rent is $1,150/month + utilities (~$40–60/month). Lease is month-to-month, though we’re ideally looking for someone who wants a long-term home. About the Space We have the entire top floor of a two-story home (separate entrance), complete with: • Washer/dryer in unit • Spacious living room + separate dining room • Cozy, comfortable shared space with a big TV and all the streaming apps you could want (thanks, distant relatives!) • Fully equipped kitchen with all the appliances and gadgets you might need • Backyard access (our landlords live downstairs, a super kind family with two young kids who welcome us using it). Street parking is easy and reliable. About the Location • 3-minute drive / short bike ride to Berkeley Bowl • Close to San Pablo & University shops, bars, and cafes • 20-minute walk or short bike ride to North Berkeley BART • Centrally located with easy access to everything in Berkeley About J (f) I’m 28 and just graduated from UC Berkeley’s MSW program. I’ll be starting a fellowship at Kaiser SF this fall so spend a lot of time back a forth between Berkeley and the city. I’m warm, and love cozy nights in watching movies and reading, love hosting friends, but also appreciate a peaceful, clean, and respectful home environment. Outside of work, I love cooking, creative projects, and weekend getaways around the Bay. About O (f) I’m 27 and grew up in the Bay Area. I moved back to the Bay once I finished college and am here to stay! I currently work remotely at an org specializing in leadership development, although I am thinking about going back to school for counseling next fall. I often work from home but am out and about a lot as well. I love climbing, tennis, movie nights, and basically any nature related activity. What We’re Looking for in a Roommate: Someone who is considerate, kind, communicative, and open to both shared hangouts and respecting each other’s space. Ideally you’re looking for a home (not just a room), are mindful of shared spaces, and contribute to keeping things clean and comfortable.
