Married gay couple in our 40s looking for a fourth LGBT+ friendly and reliable long-term roommate to share a large 4-bedroom house in Mira Mesa. We have lived here for a year, we love it and we don't want to move. We have a good relationship with the homeowner and want to continue that. Minimum of one-year lease, which would need to be signed in October. We would all sign a single lease together. Background and credit checks required--security deposit equal to one month rent ($1100). Room is available 11/1/2025–potentially could start moving things at the end of October. Room is unfurnished and on the main floor. You would have the downstairs bathroom to yourself as far as personal hygiene (showering/brushing teeth, etc.) but the toilet would need to be open for guests or housemates who are downstairs. Rent is paid to me and I send one lump sum to the homeowner each month. I will provide receipts/documentation each month. All utilities split evenly among roommates (water, gas/electric, internet). Usually between $125 - $175 each month. House has a brand new A/C unit that was installed over the summer, though it is really only needed in the summer. It is quite cool in the house most of the year. My name is Preston and I work from home Monday-Friday, and my husband (Xing) has a photography studio in the garage. We will have a third roommate, Ed, in the upstairs master bedroom. There is still quite a lot of storage space available in the garage (bikes, surfboards, camping gear, etc.) and plenty inside the house. Parking is available in the driveway and there is always street parking available in front of the house. If you have a motorcycle, we could fit it in the garage, but no room for cars in the garage. Near Black Mountain (~10 minutes), Rancho Penasquitos Preserve (~5 minutes), Mira Mesa Blvd (~10 minutes), and ~20 minutes from Carmel Valley/Sorrento Valley/La Jolla. Amazing location for mountain biking/hiking and eating at delicious restaurants. Backyard is beautiful, with lots of birds, a few small spaces for gardening, a firepit and a two-person chaise lounge. Safe and quiet home with large, open shared spaces (living room/kitchen), in a safe and quiet neighborhood. No pets. There is a laundry room with a washer/drier and there are two fridges to share (we use the one in the garage, you would share the fridge in the kitchen). Not a party house, though we have occasional gatherings. House is 420 friendly--smoking would have to be outside, of course.
