NON-CDL FLATBED DELIVERY DRIVER (SOUTH PARK)

West Coast Wire Rope & Rigging is seeking a dependable delivery driver to join our team. Primary delivery vehicles include NON-CDL 2018 26,000 GVW International 4300 24' flatbed and 2024 22,000 GVW Ford F600 14' flatbed. Key Responsibilities: 1. Transportation of Goods: • Drive flatbed truck to transport freight safety and efficiently from one location to another. • Ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and perform pre-trip inspections on the truck. • Follow specified routes or GPS directions to reach destinations on time. 2. Loading and Unloading Cargo: • Load and unload freight onto the flatbed using forklift or manual labor depending on cargo. • Ensure the cargo is properly secured with straps, chains, or other tools to prevent shifting during transport. • Inspect the load for stability before departure and during transit. 3. Safety and Compliance: • Comply with all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and industry standards. • Maintain a clean , safe, and insurable driving record. • Ensure that all paperwork (delivery receipts) is completed accurately and on time. • Report any accidents, tickets, damage, or vehicle issues to the supervisor immediately. 4. Customer Service: • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner during deliveries or pickups. • Communicate delivery times and any potential delays to supervisor. 5. Maintenance and Inspection: • Perform routine maintenance checks on the truck, flatbed, and tie down equipment to ensure they are safe for use. • Keep the vehicle clean and perform minor repairs as necessary. Other Duties as assigned when not on the road. Skills & Qualifications: • Valid Washington Drivers license. • Ability to acquire medical card. • Forklift certified a plus but will train. • Must have insurable record. • Experience securing cargo and handling different types of loads is often preferred. • Safe driving practices and adherence to traffic laws are essential. • Ability to lift, load, and secure freight which may require physical strength and stamina. • Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. • Ability to inspect vehicles and cargo thoroughly.
