Job Summary: As a Mechanical Assembler in the defense industry, you will play a critical role in assembling complex mechanical systems and components that meet rigorous military and aerospace standards. Key Responsibilities: • Assemble mechanical systems, parts, and components in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, and military standards (MIL-STD). • Inspect, test, and validate mechanical assemblies to ensure compliance with quality control requirements. • Operate various hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble components. • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical systems as required. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and quality assurance personnel, to meet production goals and deadlines. • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspection results and rework documentation. • Follow safety protocols, including adherence to OSHA standards and workplace safety regulations. Required Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred. • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in the defense or aerospace sectors. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. • Strong attention to detail and quality control. • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and follow strict guidelines for assembly processes. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working in a defense-related or aerospace environment. • Previous experience with high-reliability systems and components. • Knowledge of military or defense industry compliance standards.
