Class A driver needed - west coast route
We are looking for a driver who is a perfect fit. This is an independent contractor position.
Having a CDL class A, a good driving record, a clean background, and the ability to pass a drug test and Clearinghouse are a must. Other qualities we are looking for are:
1. Flexibility- you would be on the road approximately 6 weeks before a week break. You will travel to multiple cities, often with daily moves.
2. Mechanical Aptitude and Strength- The only equipment is the generator, but troubleshooting and the ability to work through obstacles are important. There is a wheelchair lift or ramp that has to be taken in and out of the trailer as well
3. Communication- Updating us about tires being low, issues heard onsite by the practitioners, supplies needed, etc. Must be a people person. You will check patients in for their appointments.
4. Cleanliness and Responsibility- you would be our image out there so the exam rooms must be cleaned whenever arriving at each location, any maintenance on any equipment taken care of, and trusted to maintain the vehicle to keep it working.
5. Trustworthy- with the company credit card and uploading pictures of the receipts weekly
6. Computer literate- be able to use an ELD, send update emails, and submit online timesheets using Dropbox or Google
7. Self Sufficient- be able to find a solution when something is broken or needs to be repaired and spend a day on repairs in between trips
A typical day: You arrive at the location site (it can be a hotel parking lot or vfw-something with a lot of room)
You set up the day before which includes unstrapping everything, getting fuel for the generators, and wiping down the surfaces inside. On the day of the exams, you take the generators out of the trailer, plug the trailer into the generator for power. Turning on the computers for the doctors, greeting the Veterans as they arrive, and any troubleshooting. Then you pack everything back up for the next location. Must be able to wheel the generators on and off daily. Must be able to troubleshoot issues with the trailer and generators. Time management skills are a must.
No sleeping in the truck ever, and we provide the truck.
If you would like to hear more respond back with your resume or a summary of your experience, a phone number, and personal email address.
