The ideal candidates will have a CDL license with a fairly clean MVR (3 year) and know how to operate a manual and/ or automatic semi-truck. Drivers will run weekly on the East Coast with every weekend home (Saturday/ Sunday). Experienced drivers that are interested will have to consent to a pre-employment drug test and a background check. Position is felon friendly . ** NO WEEK IN THE HOLE. Duties *Operate a fleet semi moving dry van freight. *knowledge of how to work an ELD system. *No touch freight! We want you focused on driving safely. *Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition. *Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries. *Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. *COMMUNICATE effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. *Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit. *Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle as needed. *Be responsible with all equipment needed for loads. Experience *Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). *Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred. However, fleet includes both automatic and manual semis. *Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols. *Excellent time management skills with ELD to ensure all traffic and FMSCA laws are enforced. *Punctual and dependable.
