Position Summary – Thermal Operations Manager The Manager ofThermal Operations will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operational functions of Vivid’s Thermal Spray operations in Santa Clara— including equipment maintenance, processing, manufacturing, applicable technological innovation, implementation of 6-sigma and lean tools. Key Responsibilities Production, Processing and Manufacturing Oversight • Lead and manage thermal spray production operations to ensure timely delivery, consistent quality, and cost efficiency. • Develop and maintain production schedules, resource allocation, and workflow optimization. Maintenance and Reliability • Supervise Thermal Spray operations facility and equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and extend asset life. • Implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs. Continuous Improvement & Quality • Work with quality management systems and corrective actions to reduce defects and rework. • Support standardizing processes, documentation, and best practices throughout thermal operations. Qualifications • Strongly prefer leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably in technically demanding environments. • Experience and strong abilities to troubleshoot, install and maintain industrial equipment including air Compressors, dust collectors, motors, and a willingness to trouble shoot thermal coating equipment. • Strong understanding of facilities electrical and plumbing installation and maintenance. • Strong technical understanding of surface treatments, paints, or precision finishing processes, or similar processes required. • Bilingual in Spanish and English is strongly preferred • Detail-oriented, honest, transparent and resourceful. • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering degree is preferred but not required. Compensation - Salary is dependent on skills and experience $44/hr - $60/hr. Good written and verbal communication skills required User knowledge of Microsoft computer software products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) required. Engage in root cause analysis for defects and collaborate with teams to implement effective solutions. Support the Quality Assurance team in compliance with ISO 9001 standards. Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of quality assurance processes and products. Must be able to work 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM - Monday - Thursday Requirements Education and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality assurance role preferably in manufacturing. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Familiarity with quality control standards and methodologies. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Capacity to work independently as well as in a team environment. Flexibility to work on both shifts as required. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software. Experience with Oracle database systems is an asset.
