MHA is hiring immediately for an Addiction & Recovery Clinician for our BestLife Behavioral Health Clinic.  The Addiction & Recovery Clinician will work in a community behavioral health and addiction setting, providing services to individuals experiencing a mental health and/or substance use disorder need. Services will include provision of comprehensive assessments, development of individualized treatment plans, ongoing counseling for mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders, case management and collaboration, referrals to community support and MAT/MOUD psychiatric services and psychoeducation, while utilizing evidence-based practices. The Addiction & Recovery Clinician will work with the Clinic Director, Clinical Supervisors and MAT/MOUD Prescribers to also design and lead/co-lead groups meeting the unique needs of the greater community and agency. Addiction & Recovery Clinician Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities: Provide assessment and treatment planning, as well as consultation, as requested, in the development of pre-crisis and crisis plans, risk assessments, individualized treatment plans, aftercare/discharge planning, etc. Ability to facilitate groups. Complete required documentation in a timely manner, meeting regulatory standards. Utilize evidence-based screening tools as indicated by clinical team. Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team Actively participate in all licensing and accreditation processes. Serve as a liaison to relevant service systems, state agencies and community partners as needed.  Create and maintain open and effective lines of communication in an effort to meet contract standards and promote the mission of MHA within the community. Establish and maintain relationships with local, state, federal, and private agencies and organizations to promote programs and to identify and secure potential new alliances, partnerships and funding sources. Pursue activities to enhance personal professional growth.  Attend conferences, classes, address groups and represent agency.  Attend/participate in statewide meetings, task forces, committees, etc. relating to area of expertise. Coordinate with referral sources, including mental health professionals, criminal justice agencies, schools, and employers. Participate as an active member of a multidisciplinary treatment team. Provide clinical consultation and care coordination across departments. Document all assessments, counseling sessions, referrals, and follow-up services in the clinical record with proper signatures and dates. Attend daily and weekly staffing meetings as scheduled. Recognize and respond appropriately to psychiatric crises, including suicidality and homicidality. Adhere to agency policies, procedures, and mandatory reporting requirements. Maintain a culturally sensitive and ethical approach to all client interactions. Address and respond to issues related to addiction, trauma, and dual diagnosis based on clinical expertise.
